Westfield Centro: Little stars on a big stage
- Grand finale in front of a large crowd of spectators
- Well-known influencers and the national socca team were there
- Plenty of great prizes for the winning teams
Excitement, team spirit and plenty of goals at Westfield Centro. The young talents showed what they were made of at the grand finale of the football pitch duel, a charitable initiative to promote exercise and sport among children aged 11 to 13. After five preliminary rounds at various locations, the showdown was held in Oberhausen on Saturday 16 November. Even before the first match got underway, the Mitteldom was filled with spectators waiting to see the young footballers in action all the way to the final.
Sporting skills and teamwork – the keys to victory
Played 1-on-1 on a mini-pitch and decided by a single goal, the games demanded individual skills of the teams of three and really encouraged team spirit – after all, every player had to fight for his or her team-mates and constantly take turns to achieve victory as a team. The young footballers dribbled and shot for all they were worth, cheered on by family, friends, the facilitators and well-known internet celebrities “Jannik Freestyle” and cult referee “Qualle” who were in attendance for the event.
