‘Duftstars 2023’ fragrance awards: choosing favourite scents in the Mitteldom
- Voting for Germany's premier perfume award
- Pop-up stand in a prominent position
- Attention-grabbing media campaign on the UDS
For over 30 years, perfume manufacturers in Germany have eagerly awaited the presentation of the annual Duftstar awards – the country’s foremost awards in the scent industry, where manufacturers have the opportunity to win any of several categories with their fragrances. Complementing the awards chosen by a panel of expert judges, the Audience Award is also a particularly coveted category. This year, visitors to Westfield Centro were also asked to contribute their opinions in the Mitteldom. From 12 to 14 October, they were able to vote live and on the spot for their favourite fragrances – with significant influence on the outcome.
Mitteldom visitors vote for favourites to win the ‘Duftstar 2023’ accolade
Extravagant purple meets plain white: the high-quality Duftstars 2023 pop-up stand was a real eye-catcher for all visitors to the Mitteldom at the heart of the flagship shopping destination in Oberhausen. An accompanying media campaign on the 360-degree UDS screen was the proverbial icing on the cake of the campaign and attracted visitors almost magically.
For three days, customers at Westfield Centro were able to test the nominated fragrances and make an informed choice in selecting their favourite scent experience. The perfumes nominated for the Audience Award – consisting of men’s and women’s fragrances – were on hand to be tried out, with voters able to hold the bottles in their hands and try the fragrances out on their own skin.
