WMF delights cooking fans in the Westfield Centro
- Pop-up store in the Westfield Centro
- Large selection of kitchen appliances
- Prominent location in the middle of the mall
From the finest silverware to professional coffee machines: anyone looking for a practical assistant for their kitchen from September 2019 to May 2020 had to be quick. This was because WMF only moved into the Westfield Centro temporarily. For eight months, passionate hobby cooks had the opportunity to get to know the range of the specialist for high-quality household goods in the inviting pop-up store. Time enough for the traditional German company to impress many new customers by their stylish functional tools.
For more than 165 years, the Württembergische Metallfabrik – or WMF for short – has been synonymous with excellent kitchen utensils that delight chefs and occasional cooks alike. Every day, 100 million people around the world use their products to prepare, serve and enjoy delicious food and drinks. Even in the upscale gastronomy and hotel industry, the company has many followers. WMF is also behind some well-known brands, such as pots from Silit, baking dishes from Kaiser or fully automatic coffee machines from M. Schaerer AG.
Pop-up store concept attracts great curiousity
The exclusive range of products is available in 200 stores in Germany, Austria and Switzerland as well as in more than 40 other locations worldwide. With the guest appearance in the Westfield Centro, the company was particularly in the spotlight. The temporary presence in the mall, which is popular with locals and shopping tourists, attracted many curious visitors. With its varied mix of leisure attractions and shopping highlights, the centre has become a hip meeting place in the middle of the Ruhr district. The spacious shop on the busy shopping street thereby became a focal point for many curious strollers in search of inspiration.
