Say hello to Westfield Rise Central Europe
Some organisational news of an international nature: Karolina Šustrová, who has been part of the URW team for over 12 years, is moving with immediate effect to a new role as Director Westfield Rise Central Europe. This puts in place new, stronger collaborative ties between the Westfield Rise teams across Central Europe. If that doesn’t promise exciting dialogue and great projects!
During a visit to Düsseldorf, Karolina also got to know the entire Gang, including all new additions, and visited two of our flagship destinations with Leader M, namely Westfield Centro and the recently rebranded Westfield Ruhr Park. “It’s been a wonderful day. I was inspired right away by the team’s energy and vision,” she said afterwards.
And Karolina knows what she’s talking about, having become acquainted with URW in a wide variety of roles over the past few years – from running the operations unit to managing leases and working in shopping centre management. As a result, she’s ideally equipped for her new role.
Girl power unleashed
When asked what she was most looking forward to, Karolina replied: “I’m looking forward to being part of a really great team. The vision of Westfield Rise and the ambition to grow in different directions in future are things that motivate me a lot.”
Her vision for the years ahead is clear. “I don’t just want to see the business opportunities, I also want to facilitate knowledge sharing within the region. I think it’s also important to continue inspiring female executives and female managers, and to support them on their career paths.”
A cuddly secret
There are also fascinating insights into Karolina’s life away from the office. When asked for a fun fact about herself, she revealed: “A bit childish perhaps – but I’ve two cuddly toys that are always in bed with me, one for travelling and one for at home.”
