Überseequartier: Hamburg’s new platform for brands and unforgettable events

Hamburg’s been waiting a long time for this – and now the time has finally come! Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier will open to the public amid great celebrations on 8 April 2025, bringing a breath of fresh air to the HafenCity district with live music, a DJ set and other surprises too. We’re looking forward to this with great anticipation because the opening is going to create new shopping and leisure opportunities for residents and visitors to HafenCity as well as exceptional advertising space and huge promotion potential for the hottest brands around.

A peek behind the scenes

To experience the new opportunities at first hand, the Gang recently went to the site to see for themselves. And the conclusion? Impressive stuff, and shopping here will bring a lot of joy to young and old! The cosmopolitan neighbourhood directly on the banks of the River Elbe offers a wealth of opportunities for making visitors’ hearts beat that little bit faster. From impressive digital totems and huge screens to areas for experiential marketing, the Überseequartier has everything you need when it comes to putting brands firmly in the spotlight. Working with Ocean Outdoor Germany, a state-of-the-art media network has been developed, ensuring maximum visibility with five large-format screens and 32 digital totems. In addition to conventional out-of-home advertising, the neighbourhood also offers a wealth of opportunities for immersive brand experiences. Three large indoor event areas and an outdoor event area can be used to stage eye-catching productions that integrate seamlessly into this cosmopolitan setting.

The perfect brand environment

And the best aspect is the location right beside the Elbe, giving the whole thing a really special Hanseatic city vibe. During our tour, we could feel how this location not only attracts visitors, but also gives brands the opportunity to really connect with the public. And that’s exactly what the Gang’s there to do – to help you maximise your brand’s visibility and create unforgettable moments tailored to each case and offering a massive feel-good factor. These will include the exciting initial events such as the Discovery Days between 9 and 12 April, which will be held in the Überseequartier straight after the grand opening, and the fourth “UNKNOWN” art get-together on 5 May.
